These items are sold as singles and form part of an Inshore Distress Flare Kit.
What are the defects?
Smoke may vent from both the top and the bottom of the product, instead of venting just from the top, causing the handle of the product to become hot.
What are the hazards?
If the flare vents incorrectly and becomes hot, this may increase the risk of an injury.
What should consumers do?
Consumers should return the product to the place of purchase where they may choose to have the product replaced free of charge or receive a full refund.
